As someone who spent most of her life as an expat in various Eastern and Western European countries (with dual US/French citizenship) I suspect that Europe’s financial crisis was engineered via Wall St to bring down the welfare states, whose message is finally getting through to US workers and whose economies were our competitors. That the conflict is ever the same as in 1917: money/power vs. the people. (And yes, the US is becoming, or already is a fascist state.) Does this sound far-fetched?

I would like to assure Victor Theofilopoulos that the problem is NOT Merkel or the germans. Like Deena Stryker says the orders come from Wall St/ Washington. Merkel is just a pitiful pawn, a puppet surrounded by “german sheppards” ready to bite when she would change course. Germany is NOT a sovereign country: of the four WWII allies only ex-USSR agreed to give them the full sovereignty back. US,UK and France are still in control of the German sovereignty. Of course, of the three masters it’s the US that plays the music. I recommend the blog of Jürgen Elsässer (http://juergenelsaesser.wordpress.com) on this topic and others. If you read good german try also this site http://www.kaschachtschneider.de. Google also for the “German Gold” to find out where it is kept and about the actions of the german people to get it back in the country (in vain, according to me!).
